In a press briefing at the Provincial Capitol in Marawi City, Presidential Spokesperson Atty. Harry Roque gave assurance that they will face the investigation together with ‘Task Force Bangon Marawi’ to present the rehabilitation efforts of the government to the affected city.
Roque then denied the allegations of Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV that the Duterte administration have no master plan to restore the conflict-affected areas.
The Spokesman then asserted that the accusations of Trillanes against the Duterte regime has a streak of politics.
Roque insisted that there is no such ‘Bangon Marawi’ Task Force if the government did no actions to reconstruct the city and restore the lives of the residents.
In Senate Resolution 742 of Senator Trillanes, the lawmaker said that the government is lacking of comprehensive plan for the rehabilitation of Marawi after a year when the war exploded in the city.
Meanwhile, secretary roque enumerated the projects of the government as the rehabilitation continues. This includes, housing at livelihood projects for the affected residents, community centers, schools, place of worships so as the assistance for the internally displaced persons o IDPs.
Roque also proudly brought the good news that seventy percent of the evacuees has already been back to their respective homes in Marawi.
While, 47 schools outside the battle field zone will be open for the incoming school year.
Nevertheless, Roque ask the public for their understanding and patience for possibly spending a long period of time for the reconstruction of the city due to its intense destruction after the Islamic State-inspired terrorists attacked.
