Eldest Tulfo, defends Wanda from P60-M ad deal

Columnist Ramon “Mon” Tulfo aired his thoughts regarding the controversial multi-million-peso government tv ad deal that involved his siblings, resigned Tourism Secretary Wanda Teo and broadcaster Ben Tulfo.

In a newspaper column released, Mon defended Wanda, but he however said that it was his sister’s fault for not getting intelligent people as her staff.

Mon then castigated Ben saying that he should have known better than to touch the multi-million peso advertising contract with PTV 4 since it would create a conflict of interest on his sister’s part.

To recall, a 60 million peso worth of Department of Tourism advertisement was placed on state-run PTV, where Ben, owner of BITAG Multimedia Network, pays for airtime.

Mon, further took his sister’s side and said that Wanda was clueless that Ben will benefit from the multi-million peso ad contract.
